Extra funding to support people with multiple needs

A coalition of three charities have been awarded lottery funding to help expand support for people with multiple needs across England over the next five years.

The £2.78m grant will enable the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) coalition – formed by Clinks, Homeless Link and Mind – to expand the number of areas that it is supporting and share best practice.

The funding will also help bring together data to assess the impact of local interventions for people with multiple needs.

Oliver Hilbery, director of the MEAM coalition, said: ‘For too long, people with multiple needs have received a poor response from local services that are designed to deal with one problem at a time. We are committed to working with local areas and with government at all levels to change that for good.’
