Three parties have agreed to form a coalition to take control of Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
The deal will see Conservative, UKIP and independent councillors form a majority at the council after labour failed to gain overall control in last week’s election.
City Independent’s Dave Conway is tipped to become the new council leader on 28 May, with Conservative group leader, Abi Brown, set to become the deputy leader.
Labour lost its majority at the council last week, falling from 28 to 21 councillors.
