Planning funding restoration needed to meet homes target image

Labour will have to return planning department funding back to 2010 levels to achieve its ambition of 1.5 million homes built over the next Parliament, a network of councils has said.

The report by Central London Forward said councils should also have the control to fix their own planning fees, which are currently dictated by central government.
