Policy changes reducing police presence at mental health incidents are putting the safety of social workers at risk, a health charity and university have warned.

A report by The King's Fund and University of York found police sometimes took a ‘blanket approach' to the Right Care, Right Person (RCRP) policy, viewing mental health-related incidents as no longer their responsibility.
