Scotland’s homelessness system is on the brink of collapse, according to the country’s housing watchdog.

A report by the Scottish Housing Regulator spoke of an ‘emerging risk of systemic failure’ with councils ‘reaching the limits of their capacity’ and finding it ‘increasingly difficult to fully meet their statutory duties’ due to a lack of resources and housing supply.
