Ministers have been warned Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot replace ‘robust' analysis, with Whitehall planning to use the technology to help decide local government reorganisation.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has told the sector that it plans to us AI to help analyse consultation responses.
