Two senior Guildford and Waverley officers have agreed to temporarily ‘step back’ from their roles amid intensifying investigations into housing maintenance contracts.

The boroughs’ strategic director for community and wellbeing, Annie Righton, and director of transformation and governance, Ian Doyle, agreed to the move to ‘protect the integrity of the investigation’.
