A senior sector figure has called for the Local Government Association (LGA) and Whitehall to offer education and training to those about to go through reorganisation.

It comes as council chiefs expect to come under intense pressure from leaders to sanction questionable spending before their authority is reorganised out of existence, as reported by The MJ last month.
