Reports the Government plans to abolish Homes England as part of a cull of quangos have been dismissed by Whitehall.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) insisted Homes England would ‘continue to play a vital role in delivering this Government's housing agenda through the delivery of new homes and place-based regeneration and place-making'.
