Worcestershire County Council is considering selling off its headquarters after assessing it would be too expensive to repair.
Last year, the county hall was closed after legionella bacteria were found in June. Sections of the building had also been shut the previous year due to unsafe concrete.
In July, the council set aside £1.5m for repair work to make the building operational.
The county council has now assessed that further remedial work would be too expensive and is now considering the future of the site.
A spokesperson for the council said: ‘No further works are planned at County Hall, and given the council’s financial position, attention will now focus on future options for the building and site which could include selling.’
