CB Richard Ellis has announced the appointment of three specialists from KPMG to spearhead the public asset team within the company’s government and infrastructure business.

The appointments follow the announcement that Sir Michael Lyons, ex-chairman of the BBC Trust, and former chief executive of three significant local authorities – Wolverhampton BC, Nottinghamshire CC, and Birmingham City Council will be joining CBRE as a strategic adviser to provide counsel on public sector assets, local government and regeneration.

Former KPMG partner and head of real estate consulting, Mike Atherton, will lead the public asset team, and be joined by his former colleagues, Mark Longley and George Griffiths.
