Manchester City Council is set to make £375,000 from performances at Heaton Park next year, including Oasis’s reunion gigs.

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s 2025 tour includes five sold out shows in the council-owned park in July, with about 80,000 fans set to attend each night.

Manchester plans to use the ‘one-off’ financial boost to help balance its books as it faces a £29m budget gap.

The annual Parklife Festival and other performances at Heaton Park will also generate income for the council.

The local authority confirmed last month that Oasis’ long-awaited reunion shows would ‘come at no cost to the public purse’.
