Nine councils in Derbyshire unite behind two unitaries

Joint proposals for two unitaries covering Derbyshire are set to be formally considered by councillors at the eight district and boroughs and Derby City Council.

The proposals will cut the number of local authorities covering Derbyshire from 10 to two – one in the north and one in the south.
