North Lincolnshire Council is facing a ‘mass exodus’ of senior staff, opposition members have claimed.

A number of directors, assistant directors and heads of service have recently left or served notice, including chief executive Peter Thorpe and section 151 officer Becky McIntyre.

Opposition leader Len Foster said it was due to a ‘culture and lack of conformity to the political executive’.

He added: ‘The Labour group is greatly concerned over the mass exodus of quality senior officers.’

However, Conservative council leader Rob Waltham called the claims a 'load of bunkum’.
