The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is performing well and managing risk responsibly during a time of economic uncertainty, according to pension advisers Hymans Robertson.

Hymans Robertson's analysis of last year's LGPS valuations dismissed claims the scheme was sitting on assets that could easily be distributed as surpluses, saying it was not holding ‘materially more money per pound of pension' than before.
