LGA interim chief revealed

Former Camden LBC chief Jenny Rowlands is to take on the role of interim chief of the Local Government Association (LGA), as current chief Joanna Killian remains on leave, The MJ can reveal.

Killian went on leave in January, following the the disasterous reception of her plans to restructure the organisation in a bid to save money and modernise the organisation. Staff were furious after the proposals outlined plans to cut salaries, downgrade roles and slash their numbers.
