Hundreds of local government workers this week protested over Birmingham City Council’s plans to make 2,000 job cuts.
The employees met outside the full council meeting, where the annual budget was being debated. They called for the council to refrain from making compulsory redundancies.
The rally was organised by local government trade unions Unison, Unite and GMB.
