Interserve Facilities Management

Interserve is a leading force within the facilities management industry, delivering tailored support service solutions to both public and private sector clients. With a turnover in excess of £800m, we directly employ 20,000 people.

Our people manage and deliver services to some of the UK’s most important, and business critical, local and central government and commercial buildings. Our teams care for major government properties, schools, colleges, corporate head offices, shopping complexes, retail multiples, business parks, airports, industrial processing plants, power facilities and military bases.

The local government sector is of particular strategic importance to us, and we are supporting our clients in this field to achieve efficiencies and service improvement targets across their property portfolios so that they can improve the facilities available to the local community.  We are also working with our clients on a strategic level to meet targets on a wider social agenda - driving energy efficiency through sustainable energy sources, increasing recycling volumes and encouraging the use of fair trade products in our restaurants.

Our experience in this sector includes:

Slough Borough Council: £6m p.a. 15-year managed repair and maintenance services partnering agreement for 70 council-owned buildings and 8000 homes.

Havering Borough Council: £2m p.a. 5 year contract, covering 11,200 homes with gas servicing, maintenance, electrical services and street lighting.

London Borough of Croydon: In just a year of operation, we have achieved £2m efficiencies on our total facilities management contract with Croydon Council. This covers a property portfolio of 320 buildings which includes a listed town hall, office complexes, libraries, an employee deli and public restaurant, sheltered housing, community and care centres. Services include building fabric maintenance, catering, security, cleaning, helpdesk, mailroom and reprographics, minor works and projects.
