The Home Office has doubled down on council concerns over asylum targets and insisted its Full Dispersal policy can ‘strike a balance between equity and housing availability’.

Last week The MJ revealed councils had been asked to identify a further 100,000 bed spaces for potential asylum seekers this year – part of the Full Dispersal plan to ensure all UK regions take their fair share of claimants.
