Council intervenes after David Beckham's 50th birthday bash prompts complaints by the neighbours.
Two council members were reportedly called to the Kensington restaurant, Core, on Saturday due to noise disturbances caused by the Beckhams’ festivities.
Complaints were made by neighbours as the racket from the party persisted past 2am and the council officers arrived at the event an hour later to manage the commotion.
A council spokesperson remarked: ‘We have a very responsive and professional team who investigate noise complaints and take action where necessary. Usually, and in this case, that means issuing some advice at a location, so disruption is kept to a minimum for residents living nearby.’
According to The Standard, a source from Saturday evening commented on the success of the local authority’s intervention: ‘Whatever the council said worked because the music stopped immediately.’
