Care England calls for ICS representation

A report by Care England into the progress of Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) one year after their formation has called for provider representatives to be on every partnership or board.

Martin Green, chief executive of Care England, which represents independent care providers, said the sector was ‘often overlooked’ and should be embraced ‘as a critical long-term strategic partner’.

The report also said Government should ringfence national ICS funding across multiple years and provide greater autonomy on how funding is used.
