Councillors have failed to agree on Bristol City Council’s proposed budget, which included a 4.99% council tax increase and more than £24m of cuts.
The budget proposals contained a £530.1m revenue budget for 2024/25, alongside £2.7bn of capital funding for major projects over the next decade.
It also included £490m for local schools, a £3.1bn 30-year housing plan, and a proposal to use £9m of Clean Air Zone (CAZ) charges to support subsidised buses and pay for roadworks.
The budget is the last to be overseen by outgoing Labour Mayor Marvin Rees.
Both the Conservative and Green Party groups voted against the plans.
