Birmingham commissioners cast doubt on budget

Commissioners at Birmingham City Council have cast doubt on the authority's ability to balance its budget next year.

The team appointed to oversee Birmingham's financial recovery said they believe the ‘council does not have sufficiently robust plans to balance the budget' from 2025-26 onwards.
