Best Value notice for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has been issued with a Best Value notice after a review found its budget was ‘unrealistic’.

The Government said in the notice it was ‘concerned’ at the council’s performance but content to allow BCP to ‘continue leading their own improvement’.

It comes after the publication of an external assurance review carried out by former chief executive at Islington and Redbridge LBCs, Lesley Seary.
