Barnet issues s114 over unauthorised payments

Barnet LBC has issued a section 114 notice over ‘unlawful' payments to and from the council's pension fund.

Chief finance officer Kevin Bartle issued the notice after finding no authorisation had been given before officers made a £20.5m payment into the fund in April 2020.
