Intervention at Slough set to be extended

Slough Council is facing an extension to Government intervention due to ‘volatility' in its finances.

Local government minister Jim McMahon is minded to extend the term of commissioners by two years until November 2026 after concluding the council was not meeting its Best Value duty.
