The Reform UK deputy leader of Leicestershire County Council has been removed from the role after just three months.
Twenty-two-year-old Cllr Joseph Boam has also lost his position as cabinet member for adult social care.
In a statement on social media, Cllr Boam said: ‘Despite the recent news, nothing’s changed, I’ll keep fighting for Whitwick at County Hall and doing everything I can to help get a Reform UK government and Nigel Farage as our next Prime Minister.’
A party source told the BBC he would now be taking on an unspecified ‘new role’ within the local authority.
