Worcestershire warned over special educational needs spending

Worcestershire CC has been handed a statutory financial warning by auditors concerned its spending on children with special educational needs (SEN) is ‘out of control'.

Auditors Grant Thornton warned the local authority's ability to cut expenditure on its dedicated schools grant (DSG) was ‘weak'.
