Wirral auditor issues statutory notice

Auditors have raised the alarm over Wirral MBC's finances as it fights to avoid issuing a section 114 notice.

Grant Thornton has issued a statutory recommendation highlighting ‘significant financial pressures creating budget overspends combined with low levels of reserves'.
