An umbrella body is pushing for the Welsh Government to help plug a £559m funding gap so councils do not have to make ‘impossible decisions’.

Ahead of the local government settlement next month, the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) released a paper showing the gap in funding for councils in the next financial year was £38m higher than first thought.
