Unison has called for significant improvements to management practices in Birmingham City Council.
It followed the first-ever full publication of a Safeguarding Children Board’s report into the death of Khyra Ishaq.Tony Rabaiotti, regional head of local government, said: ‘The report highlights many of the concerns that Unison has highlighted over a number of years.
‘This puts more pressure on already-overworked social workers that are under significant pressure already.’
