Councils have voiced fresh concerns as they remain in the dark over future funding for responsibilities inherited from Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

While the County Councils’ Network (CCN) has welcomed taking on the role of fostering local growth, authorities have yet to learn how much Government support they will initially receive and there are no commitments on funding after next year.

CCN’s economic growth spokesperson Richard Roberts said: ‘Time is pressing.'
