The East Suffolk port town of Woodbridge has been identified as the UK's happiest place to live in a survey by Rightmove.

Residents highlighted the town’s community spirit, the friendliness of locals, and access to essential services.

The town's mayor, Cllr Robin Sanders, said the ‘happy mood of residents is a reflection of the vibrant town centre’.

Other areas placing highly in the rankings included Richmond upon Thames in London, Hexham in Northumberland, and Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
