Birmingham has paved the way for the implementation of red routes on major city roads.
Councillor Len Gregory, cabinet member for transportation and services, gave the go ahead this week for red routes on the A34 Stratford Road, A34 Walsall Road and A38 Tyburn Road.
A spokesperson said road painting would start within days, but implementation of the scheme was ‘weather dependent’.
