Believ has begun delivery of its largest rapid and ultra-rapid EV charging rollout to date, with the first 17 chargers now live across Tower Hamlets as part of a scheme that will eventually bring more than 70 chargers to 35 sites in the borough.
Fully-funded by Believ, the project targets a borough where 93% of homes lack off-street parking, making on-street public charging essential for residents, commuters, taxis and fleet vehicles.
Early locations include White Horse Lane, Stepney Green and Chrisp Street, with a mix of dedicated EV bays and shared standard bays designed to protect existing parking access.
Believ CEO Guy Bartlett said the rollout would help ‘advance electric mobility across the region.’
Cllr Shafi Ahmed added that the investment supports the council's Climate Emergency Plan by cutting transport emissions.
