Surrey County Council’s Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINs) has officially launched its second year, expanding from a successful pilot to support 70 schools across the county.
The programme, a collaboration between NHS England, the Department for Education, and local partners, aims to enhance inclusion for neurodiverse children by providing early intervention, staff training, and improved communication between schools and families.
Following the pilot phase, which assisted 41 schools, PINs now includes an additional 29 schools in North East and South West Surrey.
The initiative offers up to 30 hours of tailored support per school, including occupational therapy audits, speech and language therapy, and neurodiversity champion training.
