The mayor of South Yorkshire could be in line for a pay rise of nearly £30,000.
A panel appointed by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) recommended Oliver Coppard's pay be increased from £79,000 to £107,000.
The recommendation follows the expansion of Mayor Coppard’s responsibilities to include the police and crime commissioner (PCC) role for South Yorkshire.
SYMCA board members will decide whether to approve the rise on 4 June.
