Sex toy forces closure of council bake sale

A council bake sale was abandoned last Friday after a sex toy was discovered in one of the cakes.

The fundraiser, organised by Glasgow City Council staff, was in support of a Romanian orphanage and raised over £100 from donations.

Unfortunately, it had to be stopped once the sex aid was found and the remaining cakes were thrown out.

Officials suspect the prank took place between 10:30 and 10:45am and are inspecting CCTV footage to identify the culprit.

A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: ‘It’s disappointing someone would intentionally sabotage a charity event which staff spent their own time and effort on. An investigation is underway.’
