Planning documents submitted to the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk have revealed King Charles's plans for a solar farm at Sandringham.

The 2.1 megawatt, two hectare solar farm is understood to have been sized to ‘meet current and predicted future electricity demands of the Sandringham Estate’.

Chris Hewett from industry body Solar Energy UK commented: ‘The King has been a champion for climate action for a long time so it is great he is showing more leadership by building a solar farm in his own back yard. It's a real endorsement for the potential of solar energy in the UK.’
