Pennycook confirms fresh Right to Buy restrictions

Pennycook confirms fresh Right to Buy restrictions image

Tenants of newly built social homes will not be able to buy their homes through Right to Buy (RtB) for 35 years, the housing minister Matthew Pennycook has confirmed.

Pennycook told Parliament in a written statement this meant councils would be able to recover the costs of building homes before losing them.
