Coventry City Council’s wards will be altered and boundary divisions for Surrey and Staffordshire county councils are also set to change.

The Local Government Boundary Commission reviewed the three council areas to ensure councillors represent around the same number of voters.

The new arrangements will be in place for next year’s council elections in Coventry and the 2026 elections in Surrey and Staffordshire.

Commission chair Professor Colin Mellors said: ‘We believe the new arrangements will deliver electoral fairness while maintaining local ties.’

The changes become law once Parliament has approved them.
