A study of the manifestos of 12 UK metro mayors has revealed ‘clear alignment’ around digital transformation goals.

The study by CGI, an IT and business consulting service, found that 92% of the mayors emphasise digital productivity, highlighting the importance of technology in driving regional economic growth and workforce efficiency.

Only half (50%) address digital sovereignty in their manifestos, revealing a varied approach to protecting regional data, while all emphasised digital sustainability and digital devolution.

Three quarters (75%) recognise the critical role of digital supply chain resilience, according to CGI.
