Nottingham-based civil and electrical engineering construction firm McCann, has won a coveted RoSPA Gold Award at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident’s annual Health and Safety Awards.
Priding itself on its continually-improving ‘health and safety culture’ and placing accident prevention at the heart of the work it carries out every day on the roads, highways and public spaces of the UK, McCann has maintained its accident frequency rate (AFR) at zero over the previous 12 months - a notable achievement in the construction industry and one that undoubtedly contributed towards this latest award.
John McCann, Managing Director of McCann said, “This is a very special achievement and clearly demonstrates how important health and safety and accident prevention is to everybody in the business. Prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our staff and everyone we work with has been the foundation of our business for over 40 years and we are hugely proud to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation as RoSPA.”
