Mayor warns of creating 'behemoths'

A mayor has warned of creating local government ‘behemoths' overburdened with responsibilities.

Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen said that while more powers in areas such as planning could benefit combined authorities, their focus should remain on economic growth and jobs creation.
