Engagement between the UK Government and councils has generally improved since Labour's General Election win, The MJ has been told.

The verdict was issued by sector figures as the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) this week introduced a new structure, bringing together the department's four regional teams with its local engagement team, which will seek to build relationships across policy areas.
