LocalGov writer wins '30 To Watch' award for bedroom tax coverage

Deputy editor of Local Government News and LocalGov, Thomas Bridge, has been named in the MHP '30 To Watch' list 2014.

Now in their third year, the awards highlight journalists under thirty who are setting the news agenda in an early stage of their career.

Thomas was selected by a panel of senior journalists for his continuing coverage of the 'bedroom tax'.

Thomas said: 'I am immensely proud to be recognised in the MHP "30 to Watch" list. I wish to thank the judging panel alongside my fellow writers at LocalGov, TheMJ.co.uk and the Transport-Network, who continue to lead the way on local government journalism.'

Editorial director of Hemming local government, Michael Burton, said: 'We are delighted that Tom's hard work has been recognised. LocalGov has gone from strength to strength and Tom has made a huge contribution to its success.'
