Investment targets to be set for LGPS megafunds

The Government is to press ahead with proposals to consolidate Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds.

The forthcoming Pension Schemes Bill will mean all pools operate at ‘megafund' level, with 86 LGPS administering authorities being consolidated into six pools by March, ministers confirmed today.
