The shape of skills devolution in the trailblazer devolution deals has been outlined by Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.
Speaking as part of a panel assembled by the Institute for Government, Mayor Burnham lifted the lid on a new Manchester Baccalaureate, which he said would achieve parity between technical and university education, and create a pipeline of skills in demand locally.
Mayor Burnham said: ‘This is the single biggest thing I can do to change life chances in Manchester’.
