Government back in court over HS2

A group of 15 local authorities led by Buckinghamshire CC have taken the Department for Transport (DfT) to the Appeal Court today, in attempts to block the HS2 high speed Rail line.

However it upheld a challenge against the consultation process for the Government's compensation scheme for property owners along the route, with Mr Justice Ouseley ruling it had been ‘so unfair as to be unlawful’.
