The Government has been accused of ‘failing to deliver' on plans to modernise and improve the administration of council tax.

A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) consultation seeking views on policies to change the ways council tax is billed, collected and enforced, modernise the support available in the system and support authorities to improve efficiency closed in September, but the sector has heard little since then.
